Voter Qualifications

Voters must:

  • Be a citizen of the United States and a resident of Natrona County, Wyoming
  • Be 18 years of age on general election day
  • Not be a felon (however: there is a process through which non-violent felons may petition to have their voting rights restored)
  • Not be adjudicated mentally incompetent

ID Requirements 

In order to register to vote in Natrona County, the applicant must provide proof of identity in one of the three ways outlined below:

The following picture IDs suffice alone as voter registration ID:

  • United States Passport
  • Wyoming Driver’s license
  • Any driver’s license or ID card issued by a state or outlying possession of the United States
  • An ID card issued by a federal, state or local government or agency
  • A school ID card with photo
  • A military dependent’s ID card

If the applicant has no photo ID he/she may use one of the following forms of ID along with the last four digits of his/her social security number:

  • Certification of U.S. citizenship
  • Certificate of naturalization
  • U.S. military card or draft record
  • Original or certified copy of a birth certificate bearing an official seal
  • Any other form of identification issued by an official governmental agency
  • Certification of birth abroad issued by the Department of State

Social Security Card

  • A social security card may be used as one source of ID when presented with one of the options in part 2.
